STUDENT LOAN CONSOLIDATION VS. REHABILIATION?

My student loan is currently in consolidation. I had not realized that I could’ve rehab’d it and eventually it would come off of my credit report after 9 months of on time payments. Now I do not qualify for rehab b/c its not in default anymore since I consolidated it. Is there any way I can get out of the consolidation program and get into the rehabilitation one?

I am paying 300 on one student loan and 200 on another. To be honest, I’d really like to consolidate the two and be able to get a lower monthly payment. I am 22 years old and I have just joined the navy. I leave in July for boot camp. I have talked to a few different lenders and most of them state they are no longer doing student loan consolidation. The one that I did speak to that is still participating in student loan consolidation is Wells Fargo and they wanted me to have a co-signer.
Being in the Navy I have great job security…
I think my credit score is decent…
But right now I am not making much money, only about 800 dollars a month and I think that is why they are asking for a co-signer.
Do you think if I wait until after boot camp, when I am making more, I could get a consolidation without a co-signer?
What are my options? Having a co-signer is NOT an option.. Thanks you.

By UF I mean the University of Florida, I need some way to network myself with the soon to graduate and the med school/law school/graduate school students.

I have researched on the web and am still not clear on how this works. I really need a personal loan to help out with some other bills and am no longer able to take my classes. I am now in deferrment on my federal loan and they do not do credit checks or anything for a consolidation loan. Just curious.

I get all these offers in the mail to lower my interest rate for my student loands — 2.75% for example
Are these companies any good? Or I am superior of sticking with my 3.7% and 4.5% interest rates
