What is the ideal way to get a student loan if I do not have the ideal credit score?
I have made some credit mistakes in the past, and have a mediocre credit score. Right now, I do not get approved for new lines of credit. However, I am in need of a student loan to cover living expenses for the remainder of this semester at a private university.
Does anyone out there have any recommendations for how to go about getting an “emergency” student loan in the middle of the academic semester? I appreciate any helpful advice or suggestions, thanks.

I own a home and want some extra money.I have about 200,000 equity on my home and my loan is for a 100,000.My credit is not the ideal in the world.I have 2 credit cards total of 1,700 dollars and owe a few physician bills totaling 730 dollars.My home payments are current and I have no automobile loan.My salary just barely pays my bills.Maybe I can leave some money in a high interest account to acquire some money from the equity loan too and use some of the money to do a few things to home but not major remodeling just new carpet,paint landscaping etc etc.What is the ideal way to get some extra cash,I am a single mother and only have my one income coing in and cannot take another job because I have to take care of my other responsiblities as a mom.Please no loan companies respond. When I first got my auto in March 2006 my interest rate was 17.9% I refinance in September 2006 with E-loan for a rate of 11.04% we recently purchased a home and our finally establishing some credit. So I think its time to refinance again. Does anyone advocate a great place to get a great rate?

Say you want to purchase a $ 60,000 home, but you do not plan on living there longer than 10 years. Would it be superior to get a 30 year loan and have smaller payments, or a five or ten year loan so when you sell the home it is completly paid off?
Actually the price of the home is irrevelant. I was just wondering which option would be better.
