I had co-sign a auto loan for my brother, can I still file for bankurptcy?
My brother did not get approve for an auto loan because he just completed college and starting a new job which require him to travel. I am in debt but with me co-signing, he got approved. I am planing to file for bankruptcy but I am not including the new auto loan so he can keep the automobile and continue the payments. Will they dismiss my bankruptcy because the loan was just a week old? I am meeting with the lawyer Jan. 3 and just want some opinion.
