Do you have a home? Do you have at least 20 percent equity in it? If so, you probably can get a home equity loan but with bad credit the terms might be more interest.

I’d go to a local bank and see what they have to state and stay away from mortgage companies or the subprime ones that promise “no credit, no problem” and get you what you want even though it might not be in your ideal interest.
